Make sure you hear your check-in (contact + Emergency Bypass)
A one-time setup so your Agent's calls and texts ring through silent mode and Focus: save the FineStreak Agent contact, turn on Emergency Bypass on iPhone or allow favourites on Android, and keep the app in the background.

Three small things decide whether you hear your check-in. Each takes under a minute and you only do it once.
1. Save the FineStreak Agent contact
Tap "Save FineStreak Agent to Contacts" in the app (Settings, under "Hearing your check-ins", or during setup). On iPhone this opens the new-contact sheet; tap Done. On the web it opens a contact card you can add to your phone.
The contact matters because your phone decides whether to ring based on who is calling. With the Agent saved as a contact, the next steps work.
2. iPhone: turn on Emergency Bypass
Emergency Bypass lets calls and texts from one contact ring even when the ring switch is set to silent or a Focus is on. It applies to in-app calls too.
- Open the FineStreak Agent contact and tap Edit.
- Scroll to Ringtone and tap it.
- Turn on Emergency Bypass at the top of the sheet, then tap the check. Pick any ringtone you like while you are there.
- Go back, tap Text Tone, and do the same.
- Both rows now read "Emergency Bypass On". Tap Done.
Eight taps in total: Edit, Ringtone, toggle, check, Text Tone, toggle, check, Done.
2. Android: favourite the contact and allow it through Do Not Disturb
- Open the FineStreak Agent contact and tap the star to mark it as a favourite.
- Open Settings, then Sound, then Do Not Disturb.
- Under People (some phones call it Allowed exceptions), allow calls and messages from starred contacts.
3. Keep FineStreak in the background
Leave the app in the background instead of swiping it away in the app switcher. If your phone blocks the ring anyway, the app sounds an alarm at the same time and you tap it to take the call. A swiped-away app cannot do that on older versions of iOS; on iOS 26 and later Apple's own alarm still sounds.
What happens without this setup
Your check-in still arrives at the time you set. If your phone is on silent or in a Focus and the call cannot ring, FineStreak sounds an alarm instead and you tap it to take the call. The setup above simply lets the call ring like a normal call in the first place.
