Deleting your account and your data

Exporting your data, wiping your history, and permanently closing your FineStreak account, including the 30-day hold.

Updated 2026-07-21

Your data controls live in dashboard Settings, and all three options are self-serve.

Download your data

Settings offers a 30-day export: download what we have about your check-ins and activity before making any bigger moves. If you are cancelling, grab your history first.

Wipe your history without leaving

You can clear every check-in, call, fine, streak, dispute, and ticket on your account and start fresh. Your billing, phone, email, and goal configurations stay active so your subscription keeps working. This is the reset button for people who want a clean slate without closing the account.

Delete your account

Deleting permanently closes your FineStreak account. Here is exactly what happens:

  • Your subscription stops at the end of the current billing period.
  • Your goals pause as part of deletion, so no check-ins run and no fines occur while the deletion is pending.
  • There is a 30-day hold. We keep the deletion pending for 30 days so you can change your mind. After that, everything is permanently removed.
  • You confirm by typing DELETE in the confirmation dialog, so it cannot happen by accident.

What is retained after deletion

Records of any fines you were charged stay on file as anonymized financial records. This is required by tax and consumer-protection law and is not linked to a person who can be identified. Support tickets and disputes are kept for 90 days, then permanently deleted.

Changed your mind?

During the 30-day window, contact [email protected] and we can restore your account. After the window closes, deletion is permanent and unrecoverable.

Did this answer your question? If anything is still unclear, email [email protected] and a human will get back to you, typically within 24 hours.
