Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
FineStreak ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Acrevant LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the FineStreak application and related services at finestreak.com.
By creating an account or using FineStreak, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and, if you set one, a password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). We also collect your timezone, your country, and goal preferences from the onboarding quiz.
Two things change that list. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive the identifier and email address they give us instead of a password; if you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever see the relay address, and you can optionally give us a real address for receipts. And if you are in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, we do not collect a phone number at all: any number typed into the form is discarded rather than stored, your Agent reaches you inside the app, and fines are turned off.
Accountability Data
As you use FineStreak, we collect:
- Call transcripts and summaries from your accountability calls, whether the call came to your phone or happened inside the app. We store the written transcript only. The audio itself never reaches us
- Photos and screenshots you submit as goal verification
- Check-in results (success, failure, timestamps)
- SMS messages sent to and from your phone number
- In-app chat messages between you and your Agent
- Streak data, fines, and points related to your goals
- Support tickets you open and anything you write in them
Microphone and In-App Calls
On iPhone, your Agent can call you inside the app. The call rings like a normal call, and the conversation runs over the internet using your microphone. It uses data rather than your cellular minutes. Your microphone is used during those calls and at no other time. The audio goes from your device to our AI voice provider, Retell.ai, and to the real-time audio network it runs on (LiveKit). FineStreak's own servers never receive or store call audio. What comes back to us, and what we keep, is the text transcript and a short summary. You can turn in-app calls off, switch to phone calls, or pause check-ins entirely in your settings, and you can revoke microphone access at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Apple Health Data (optional)
If you turn on Apple Health verification for a goal in the iPhone app, we read from Apple Health: daily totals for steps, walking distance, exercise minutes and active calories, and, for workout goals, each workout's recording app, workout type, duration, calories and distance. We also read the names of apps that recently wrote workouts, steps or sleep to your Apple Health, so you can choose which app counts for a goal. Those are the only categories the app asks for. We never read heart rate, GPS routes, or raw health records, we never write anything back to Apple Health, and nothing is read at all unless you turn this on. Workout readings that verify a goal are stored on our servers alongside that goal, and are deleted outright when you delete your account. Apple Health data is never used for advertising and is never sold or shared for advertising. You can revoke access any time in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security, Health.
Location Data (optional)
If you create a location-based goal, we store the zone you choose (coordinates, radius, an optional address and nickname). When you check in, your device reads your position once and sends it to us so we can confirm you are inside your zone; we store the check-in result and your distance from the zone, not a movement history. If you enable automatic arrival on the iPhone app, your device itself watches for you entering the zone and reports the arrival. We never track your location in the background beyond that, and we never sell or share location data for advertising.
Payment Information
We never see or store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC. Two separate processors handle money, and which one applies depends on what is being paid for:
- Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are in-app purchases billed by Apple. Apple handles the payment and tells us only that a subscription is valid, which product it is, and when it expires. We never receive your payment details.
- Subscriptions bought on finestreak.com, and all fines, are handled by Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy governs that data: stripe.com/privacy.
If you choose to set a fine on a goal, you save a card for it. In the iPhone app the card fields are drawn by Stripe inside its own secure frame, so the numbers pass straight from your device to Stripe and never touch our app or our servers. We keep only Stripe's reference to the saved card and its last four digits, so you can recognise it in your settings. That card is used for fines only. It is never charged for your subscription. We also keep a record of each time you agree to fines, including the amount and the date, as evidence if a charge is ever questioned.
Device and Push Notifications
If you use the iPhone app and allow notifications, we store the push token Apple issues for your device, along with the platform and app version, so we can send you check-in reminders and alerts. In-app calls need a second, separate token that lets your phone be woken to ring. We store the same information for it. A token identifies a device rather than you personally, and it is deleted when you delete your account or turn notifications off. We also keep a record of when your app was last active, which is how your Agent knows whether to reach you in the app or by phone.
Technical Data
We collect standard technical information including IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This is used for security (rate limiting, fraud detection) and service improvement. Signup and other public forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives your IP address and a bot-check token to confirm you are not an automated script.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Deliver the service: Place calls to your phone and inside the app, send SMS and in-app chat check-ins, analyze photos, verify goals against Apple Health data and location check-ins you enable, track streaks, process fines
- Personalize your experience: Tailor what your Agent says based on your goals, history, and preferences, including using your earlier check-ins and call transcripts as context for later conversations
- Answer your support requests: An AI assistant reads open support tickets and drafts a reply, which a person at Acrevant reviews and approves before anything is sent to you
- Process payments: Manage web subscriptions and fine billing through Stripe, and confirm App Store subscriptions with Apple
- Send communications: Account updates, weekly reports, streak notifications
- Improve the service: Analyze usage patterns to make FineStreak better
- Prevent abuse: Rate limiting, fraud detection, and security monitoring
3. Third-Party Services
We share specific data with the following services to operate FineStreak:
| Service | Data Shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Retell.ai (and LiveKit, the audio network it runs on) | First name, goals, call audio | Voice calls, both to your phone and inside the app. Retell uses its own AI model and text-to-speech vendors to run the voice agent |
| Anthropic | Message text, goal context, support ticket text | The accountability agent that answers your texts and in-app chat, and drafting support replies for a person to approve |
| Photos/screenshots | Image verification and the safety check that runs on every photo | |
| OpenAI | Message text, goal context, photos/screenshots | Check-in classification, understanding what you asked for, and image verification when it is the selected model |
| Groq | Message text, goal context | Backup for the accountability agent when our main provider is unavailable |
| Apple | Sign-in identifier, subscription receipts, device push token | Sign in with Apple, App Store subscription billing, and push notifications to your iPhone |
| Twilio | Phone number, SMS content | Text messaging |
| Stripe | Email, payment info | Web subscription billing and all fine billing |
| Cloudflare | IP address, bot-check token | Turnstile bot protection on public forms, plus the network that serves the site |
| Sentry | Error diagnostics | Crash and error reporting on our servers. Phone numbers, email addresses, passwords and login tokens are stripped out before anything is sent |
| Resend | Email address, email engagement | Sending account email and the optional newsletter |
| Telegram | Your name and the text of a support ticket, plus the draft reply | How our support drafts reach a person at Acrevant for approval before a reply is sent |
| Google Analytics | Anonymized usage, IP-derived data | Analytics on the finestreak.com website only. Loads after you accept analytics cookies, and never inside the iPhone app |
| Cloudflare R2 | Verification photos | Encrypted photo storage, with deletion after 30 days |
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not run advertising profiles on you. The iPhone app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs at all, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We use Google Analytics on the finestreak.com website only, and only after you opt in through our cookie banner. If we later enable advertising measurement tools such as the Meta Pixel, they will also be gated behind that opt-in and disclosed here before they go live.
4. Call Recording Disclosure
Your accountability calls are processed by AI and are recorded for quality and accountability purposes. This applies to calls that reach your phone and to calls that happen inside the app. Recording and speech-to-text are done by our voice provider, Retell.ai. What comes back to FineStreak is the written transcript and a short summary, which we store to track your check-in results and to give your Agent context in later conversations. We do not receive or store the call audio.
You consent to this recording when you create an account and accept these terms, before any call is placed. If you signed up on finestreak.com you also ticked a box that names call recording specifically, and we store the date and time of that consent. Some states require all parties to a call to consent to recording, which is why consent is captured up front. You can stop calls at any time from your account settings.
5. Data Retention
| Data Type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account information | Until you delete your account |
| Call transcripts and summaries | Until you delete your account. Your Agent reads back over them to stay useful, so they are not aged out on a timer |
| SMS and in-app chat messages | Until you delete your account |
| Photos/screenshots | Stored on Cloudflare R2 with encryption at rest. Deleted 30 days after the check-in by a daily job, unless the photo is evidence in an open dispute, in which case it is kept until the dispute is closed and removed on the next run. |
| Apple Health readings | Until you delete your account, then deleted outright |
| Check-in results and streaks | Until you delete your account |
| Support tickets and disputes | While your account is open, and for 90 days after it is deleted, then deleted |
| Technical and IP data (logs) | Up to 90 days for security, rate limiting, and fraud detection, then deleted or anonymized |
| Backups | Encrypted copies held on a rolling 14-day window for disaster recovery. Data from a deleted account ages out of backups within that window and is never restored into the live service. |
| Payment records | As required by law (typically 7 years) |
5a. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account yourself, from your account settings in the app or on the web. You do not have to email us, and there is nothing to ask permission for.
Deleting starts a 30-day recovery window. Straight away, your check-ins stop, your goals pause, you are signed out everywhere, you are removed from the leaderboard, and any web subscription is set to end at the close of its billing period. Your data is held but no longer in use, and logging back in restores the account. During those 30 days your email address and phone number remain reserved to you, so you cannot start a fresh account with them until the window closes.
After 30 days the deletion is permanent. A daily job then erases the data itself. Deleted outright: your Apple Health readings, your in-app chat, your device push tokens, your schedules, streaks, points and achievements, your saved locations and alarms, everything you wrote to us as feedback, and every AI-written note about you. Blanked from the records that remain: your name, email address, phone number, sign-in identifiers and password, your call and check-in transcripts, your message text, your goal descriptions, and the coordinates and addresses of any location goal. Verification photos are deleted from storage in the same pass.
Three things deliberately outlive the purge. Financial records (fine amounts, dates, payment references, and your agreements to be fined) are kept in de-identified form, because we are required to keep an accounting trail and an orphaned one is worse than an anonymous one. Support tickets and disputes are kept for a further 90 days, then deleted, so a billing question raised just before you left can still be answered. And a stripped-down account row survives so those records still connect to something. None of it carries your name or contact details.
Deleting your FineStreak account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store. Cancel that in your Apple Account settings.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: Delete your account and its data yourself from your account settings, or ask us to do it (see Deleting Your Account above)
- Export: Receive your data in a portable format
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
7. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You may request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for collection. We do not sell personal information. To make a CCPA request, email [email protected] with "CCPA Request" in the subject line.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of analytics and any sharing for advertising. When we detect that signal we keep analytics cookies off and do not show you the opt-in banner.
7a. EEA and UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these lawful bases: to perform our contract with you (delivering the accountability service you signed up for), with your consent (for example, analytics cookies and recording your calls), and for our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the service). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Some of our providers are in the United States, so your data may be transferred there under appropriate safeguards. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
8. Security
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), secure session tokens, and access controls. Verification photos are stored on Cloudflare R2 with encryption at rest by default. Your payment information is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
FineStreak keeps your signed-in session token in your browser's local storage on your device, and your app preferences (such as accessibility and notification settings) the same way. The session token is sent with each request to authenticate you.
We use the following cookies:
| Cookie | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| fs_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie choice |
| fs_attrib | First-party | Records how you first found FineStreak (marketing attribution), kept up to 90 days |
| fs_ab_variant | First-party | Keeps you on a consistent version of the site during A/B tests, kept up to 90 days |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics | Google Analytics. Set only after you accept analytics cookies in our banner |
Analytics cookies stay off until you opt in through the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the FineStreak cookies in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising pixels today. If we add advertising measurement tools later, they will be gated behind the same opt-in and listed here first.
10. Children
FineStreak is not intended for users under 16 years of age, which matches the app's 16+ App Store age rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. Members under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree to our Terms on their behalf, and only that adult may add a payment card or turn on fines. If you believe someone under 16 has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
