FineStreak vs Forfeit
Forfeit just renamed itself from Money Accountability to Habit Contracts. We did not. Here is what that difference looks like in practice.
In May 2026, Forfeit shipped version 2.20.4 with a new App Store title. The word that left was Money. The word that arrived was Contracts. That is a meaningful product signal. A habit contract is a promise. A fine is a charge.
FineStreak charges. When you set a goal and miss, the fine you committed to runs against your card through a Stripe custodial flow. We are not your buddy. We are the consequence.

When to pick FineStreak
You have tried buddy-accountability apps and discovered the obvious. A buddy who lets you off the hook is not accountability. A buddy who confronts you costs the friendship. Money does neither. The card runs. You decide if that is the cost worth paying or the friction that finally moves you.
FineStreak is for someone who wants the operational layer between intention and action to be a system, not a person. The voice agent calls you in your wake-up window. You answer with what you said you would do today. If the photo verification fails or you do not respond, the fine runs.
When to pick Forfeit
You prefer a buddy in the loop. You want flexibility on verification method including third-party fitness data. You do not want the app itself to custody payment. Forfeit is the cleaner pick.
The honest tradeoff
We are a stricter product. The streak compounds. The fine is real. The rank starts at Initiate and ends at Legendary across $0.10 to $3 fine tiers. We will not be the app for everyone. We are the app for the people who already know that the only thing that has ever moved them is the thing that costs them.
FAQ
Does FineStreak actually charge me?
Yes. Fines run as real charges through Stripe when you miss a verified goal. We surface a 24-hour dispute window before final settlement.
What happens if I dispute a fine?
You file a dispute in-app. A human reviews the photo and call audio. If the verification was wrong, the fine is reversed.
Why daily streaks instead of contracts?
Streaks compound. A 60-day streak is harder to break than a one-off contract. The rank ladder rewards consistency over months, not weeks.
Does the voice agent leave voicemail?
Yes. If you miss the call, you get a follow-up SMS. If you miss both, the goal is recorded as a no-show and the fine runs.
