Your first check-in

What your first FineStreak check-in looks like for call, text, and photo goals, and what counts as verified.

Updated 2026-08-23

Your first check-in is where FineStreak stops being an idea and starts being real. What it looks like depends on the check-in method you chose for your goal.

If your goal uses calls

Your Agent calls you at the time you set. It is an AI voice, and the call arrives either as a regular phone call to your number (US and Canada) or as a call inside the FineStreak app (how in-app calls work). It speaks naturally and listens to your responses. For some goals, answering the call is the whole check-in. Wake Up Call works this way: pick up, and the day is logged. For other goals, the Agent asks how it went and logs your answer.

During onboarding you can also trigger the first call immediately instead of waiting for your scheduled time. Tap "Call me now" (or "Ring me now" in the app), answer, and you are verified on day one.

Before that first call, save the FineStreak Agent contact and turn on Emergency Bypass so the ring gets through silent mode and Focus: Make sure you hear your check-in.

If your goal uses texts

We message you at your check-in time and you reply in plain English. That reply is your check-in. In the US and Canada the message is a text to your phone; in the app it arrives in your chat with your Agent. Either way there is no form to fill out.

If your goal uses photo or screenshot proof

At check-in time we prompt you to send your proof: a screenshot of your workout log, your step counter, your calorie app, or whatever you set up. Our AI reads the image and checks it against what you configured. When it passes, your check-in is verified and your streak grows.

What "verified" means

A verified check-in is one where you showed up and, if your goal requires proof, the proof passed. Verified check-ins build your streak and earn rank points. During your free week, three check-ins on three separate days earn you a free first month, so the first one matters twice.

If something goes wrong

Calls that do not connect, uploads that fail, or proof that gets flagged incorrectly are all fixable. See Why was my check-in marked missed? for the full rundown.
