Terms of Service
Last updated: August 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FineStreak, operated by Acrevant LLC. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. What FineStreak Is
FineStreak is an AI-powered accountability service. You set personal goals and your FineStreak Agent checks in with you on the schedule you set, by voice call, text message, or in-app chat. Voice calls reach you either as a normal phone call or as a call inside the iPhone app. If you choose to set an accountability charge (a "fine") on a goal, you agree to pay it when you miss that commitment. Fines are optional, and most of FineStreak works without one. FineStreak is a voluntary accountability tool, not a gambling service, financial product, or medical device.
Where FineStreak is available. Phone calls and text messages work in the United States and Canada. In the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, FineStreak is served inside the iPhone app: your Agent reaches you by in-app call and in-app chat, we do not collect a phone number, and fines are turned off. Elsewhere you can join the waiting list, but you cannot yet create an account.
2. Accountability Charges (Fines)
Fines are optional. A goal with no fine on it works exactly the same way, and you are never required to set one. If you do set one, you understand and agree that:
- You set your own fine amounts, per goal, and you type the amount to confirm it
- Fines are voluntary, pre-agreed financial commitments you make to hold yourself accountable
- Fines are charged when you miss a goal commitment, as determined by your check-in with your Agent, photo or screenshot verification, an Apple Health or location check, or your own self-report
- Fines unlock with rank. Members at the Initiate and Ascendant ranks cannot put money on a goal at all. Fines unlock at the Committed rank, and the most you can set on one goal rises from there: $3.00 at Committed, $5.00 at Resilient, $10.00 at Sovereign, $20.00 at Mythic, and $50.00 at Legendary. The smallest fine you can set is $0.10.
- Before you can turn a fine on, you need a verified phone number and a card saved for fines. Without both, the fine stays at $0.00
- Fines are never charged during a free trial, on either the web free week or the App Store introductory week. Any fine you set is held at $0.00 until the trial ends
- Fines are collected on a single monthly statement, itemised by the day you missed
- Fines are real charges. There is no earn-back: building a streak after a miss does not refund a fine you were already charged
- Fines are not available everywhere. Members in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand can use every other part of FineStreak, with fines turned off
- If you raise a card dispute with your bank over a fine, fines are turned off permanently on your account and any fine still pending is cancelled
- You can lower or remove a fine amount, change goal settings, or pause your account at any time
How the card works. The card you save for fines is collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Card details never reach FineStreak's servers. That card is used for fines only. It is never used for your subscription: if you subscribed in the iPhone app, your subscription is billed by Apple and the two are entirely separate.
3. Free Trial, Subscription, and Billing
There are two ways to join FineStreak, and they are billed differently. Which one applies to you depends on where you signed up.
If you signed up on finestreak.com: you start with a 7-day free week. It does not require a credit card. Any fine you set during that week is held at $0.00 and cannot be charged. We will tell you before the free week ends. Your paid subscription, and the first subscription charge, only begin if you choose to continue and add a payment method. If you do nothing, your account simply pauses and you are not charged a subscription fee. From then on your subscription is billed monthly by Stripe at the plan price you selected, renewing automatically until you cancel. You can cancel from your account settings or by emailing [email protected].
If you signed up in the iPhone app: you choose a plan as part of setting up your account, and your subscription is an in-app purchase billed by Apple, not by us. It starts with Apple's 7-day introductory free week. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of a period, in your Apple Account settings. Any fine you set during the introductory week is held at $0.00 and cannot be charged. We cannot see, change, or cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf.
Cancellation: When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Pending fines for missed commitments before cancellation will still apply.
Refunds: Because the first 7 days are free with no subscription charge, there is nothing to refund for that period. If Apple bills your subscription, refunds for it are handled by Apple through your Apple Account, not by us. If we charge you a subscription fee in error through Stripe, contact [email protected] and we will make it right. Fines that were validly incurred are non-refundable, except where our system was at fault (see Dispute Resolution and System Outages below); a fine we waive after it has been invoiced is credited against your next statement rather than refunded to your card.
4. Plans and Streak Discount
FineStreak offers these subscription plans:
- Founding Member: $5/month, locked at that rate, available to the first 100 members. Founding is available on finestreak.com only and is not sold in the iPhone app.
- Entry: $8/month at a fixed rate.
- Standard: $20/month, with the streak price described below.
Subscribers who reach a 7-day consecutive streak within their first 30 days of membership earn the streak price: Standard at $15/month, permanently. Founding pricing is already at the floor and earns nothing here. How you receive it depends on who bills you. If Stripe bills you on the Standard plan, the reduction is applied to your subscription automatically. If Stripe bills you on Entry, you can claim the upgrade to Standard at $15/month from your account. If Apple bills you, the App Store has no permanent-discount mechanism, so the $15 Standard plan appears in the app as a separate subscription you can switch to once you have earned it. In every case the price continues as long as your subscription stays active.
5. Dispute Resolution
If you believe a fine was incorrectly applied, you may dispute it. Any fine that is still pending can be disputed:
- From your Fines page, using the dispute button on the fine itself
- By telling your Agent during a call, which files the dispute for you
- Or by emailing [email protected] with "Fine Dispute" in the subject line, including the date, goal name, and reason
Once a dispute is filed:
- Some disputes are resolved and the fine waived immediately, with no review needed. That happens when we never actually asked you to check in, when the same miss was fined twice, and once as a matter of course on your first ever fine
- Everything else is read by a person. We aim to respond within 24 hours and will always respond within 5 business days
- If our system was at fault (outage, verification error), the fine is waived
- We default to the member's favour in ambiguous cases
- A waived fine that has already been invoiced is credited against your next statement
6. System Outages
If one of the services FineStreak depends on to reach you goes down during your scheduled check-in window, any fine created during that outage on a goal that depended on the affected service is automatically waived. You do not have to ask. We monitor the calling and messaging providers continuously, record every outage, and tell affected members when one has ended.
7. Voice Calls and Messages
Your FineStreak Agent reaches you at the times you set, and only at those times. It never calls on a fixed daily schedule of ours. There are two ways a call arrives:
- A call inside the iPhone app. The app rings like a normal call and the conversation happens over the internet, using your microphone. It does not use your cellular minutes and does not require a phone number.
- A phone call to your number. Available to members in the United States and Canada. If you give us your phone number and set up goals, you consent to receiving automated AI calls and text messages at that number at the times you specify. Message and data rates may apply.
Both kinds of call are run by our AI voice provider, Retell.ai. You can change your check-in schedule, switch how your Agent reaches you, or pause check-ins at any time in your settings.
Calls are recorded and transcribed for accountability tracking, and by creating an account you consent to that recording. If you signed up on finestreak.com you also ticked a consent box naming it, and we keep a timestamp of that. Our servers keep the written transcript and summary of a call. The audio itself never reaches us. See our Privacy Policy for who processes calls and how long we keep what.
8. Photo Verification
For goals that require photo or screenshot proof, images are analyzed by AI vision models from third-party providers (currently Google and OpenAI). The AI evaluates whether the submitted image meets the verification criteria for your goal, and runs a safety check on it first. Photos are stored for 30 days and then deleted, except where a photo is evidence in an open dispute, in which case it is held until the dispute is closed.
9. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate information during signup
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent fines or goal limits
- You may not submit fraudulent, manipulated, or AI-generated photos as proof
- You must be at least 16 years old to use FineStreak. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf, and only they may add a payment card or turn on fines
10. Limitation of Liability
FineStreak is provided "as is." We are not responsible for missed calls due to phone carrier issues, incorrect phone numbers, or device settings (e.g., Do Not Disturb mode, Focus modes, or notification and microphone permissions that stop an in-app call from ringing). We are not a medical, fitness, or mental health provider. Consult appropriate professionals for health-related goals.
Automatic verification depends on data from your device and third parties. Apple Health verification relies on what other apps record to Apple Health, and location check-ins rely on your phone's GPS, which has limited accuracy. When automatic verification cannot confirm a goal, your normal check-in remains available; we are not responsible for missed automatic verifications caused by device settings, app permissions, GPS conditions, or third-party apps failing to record data.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of FineStreak is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Deleting Your Account, and Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion starts a 30-day recovery window: your goals, streaks, points and history are paused, your check-ins stop, and you can restore the account by logging back in. Your email address and phone number stay reserved during that window, so you cannot create a second account with them until it closes. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that separately in your Apple Account settings. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is erased and what is kept.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the dispute system. We will provide notice before termination except in cases of clear abuse.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where prohibited by law.
