Check-in methods explained

Every way to check in on FineStreak: phone call, call plus text backup, text reply, screenshot, photo, and BAC reading.

Every goal has a check-in method, and you choose it per goal. Here is what each one means in practice.

Phone call

Your Agent calls you at the time you set, and you must answer for the day to count. Miss the call and it counts as a miss. This is the strictest method, and it is the default for goals where answering is the whole point, like Wake Up Call.

Phone call + text backup

Your Agent calls you at the time you set. If you miss the call, you can still log the day by replying to a text before midnight. This is a good fit when you are building a new habit and want the push of a call with a safety net underneath it.

Text confirmation

We text you at your check-in time and you reply to check in. The lightest-touch method.

Screenshot

You text us a screenshot as proof: your workout log, step counter, calorie app, screen-time report, or whatever your goal calls for. The AI reads the image and verifies it against the proof description you set. For goals like Calories, it also checks that the date on screen matches today.

Photo

Same idea as a screenshot, with a camera photo instead: you at the gym, your desk, your setup. You describe what your proof will show when you set up the goal, and the AI checks each submission against that.

BAC reading

For alcohol goals, you can send a photo of a breathalyzer device showing zero, or a screenshot of a BAC tracker app.

Changing your method

You can switch a goal's method any time from the Goals page, from the iOS app, or by texting your Agent. Which methods are available depends on the goal type. See Editing a goal.
